Actually, this was hard to "like." I rejected the toxic patriarchy of Bill Gothard back in the mid-70s, and to see it still flourishing and flaunted and more toxic than ever, and remember people I love having been wounded deeply by his poison,--it makes me feel sick.

I’ve had that the chance to see evil in a number of individuals develop and harden over the past nearly 50 years. At 16 I didn’t know what to think except that the pain of my wounds was devastating and my faith in God troubled. Now I understand the hypocrisy and evil, and am afraid, I must confess.
