“Telling the truth is not about getting revenge or even setting the record straight, it’s about being authentic. To tell the truth, we must first tell ourselves the truth, but some people are so ashamed of what they’ve done that they’ve stopped acknowledging it.”
Love you, Cherilyn! You give me inspiration & courage to be myself (still working on it).
Your book is one of my lifetime bests! I wondered what gave you courage to begin truth telling with your pen.
How I wish you could have read your grandma’s diaries! But your heart must tell you she would have authenticated your story.
‘…but I have to stand up for Grandma’.
Cheri, you have!
Your Grandma’s voice speaks through your life and writing, through your art, your gift of friendship and much more.
What a beautiful blog, Cheri.

Thank you for the encouragement Cherilyn❤️
And oh that ending of Hamilton is so powerful isn’t it?
Thank you for your voice, Cheri!
Thank you for your elephant memory, and not allowing her to be intimidated!
